📜 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Smart Seating ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

      These terms govern your use of Smart Seating. Please read them carefully before using the App.
    

🚌 Service Description

Smart Seating is a mobile application that helps bus passengers identify the shadiest side of a bus based on:

☀️ Solar position calculations 🗓️ Departure time 📍 Route direction 🌍 Geographic location

All calculations are performed on your device using established solar geometry algorithms. No data is sent to external servers.

👤 Eligibility

The App is available for use by individuals of all ages. Users under the age of 13 should obtain parental consent before using the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

📱 License to Use

Subject to these Terms, Smart Seating grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its source code
Reverse engineer or decompile the App
Use the App for commercial purposes without written permission
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

⚠️ Accuracy Disclaimer

Important: Sun position calculations and shade-side recommendations are estimates based on solar geometry algorithms. Actual conditions may vary due to bus orientation, road curves, buildings, weather, and other factors.

Smart Seating does not guarantee that the recommended seat will always be in the shade. The App is a convenience tool, not a precision instrument. Always use your own judgment when selecting your seat.

📍 Location Services

When you grant location permission, the App uses your GPS coordinates solely to identify your nearest city. This data is processed on-device and is never transmitted externally. You may use the App without granting location permission by entering your origin city manually.

💡 Intellectual Property

All content within the App — including but not limited to the user interface, graphics, algorithms, text, and branding — is the intellectual property of Smart Seating and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

The "Smart Seating" name and logo are proprietary marks. Use of these marks without prior written consent is prohibited.

🛡️ Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart Seating shall not be liable for:

❌ Inaccurate sun calculations ❌ Indirect or consequential damages ❌ Loss of data or device damage ❌ Service interruptions

Our total liability for any claims related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App (which is zero, as it is free).

🔗 Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party open-source libraries (Google Fonts, Geolocator, Provider, SharedPreferences). These are governed by their respective licenses. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or policies.

🔄 Updates & Termination

We may update the App and these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or suspend access at any time without notice.

🌏 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
